Why We are so Happy That Fall is Almost Here
September 3, 2015
I know that summer is not officially over until September 23rd but maybe if I wish really hard, the weather will start to get a little bit of a nip in the air and some how we can move into a balmy fall soon. It's hard not to want to get into the mood with all the pumpkins, earth tones and of course Pumpkin latte's being displayed in front of us!
Here are some of our favorite things about fall.
1.) You get to go back to hot coffee and tea
Seriously, there is nothing better than curling up with a great book and a cup of hot coffee or team. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it. Seriously after the muggy hot summer days, I'm ready for a nice caramel latte, a good book and a blanket to make me feel all warm and fuzzy. Plus I think my favorite coffee cup has missed me!
2.) You can wear great boots
I love boots. They are the one fall accessory that I just can't live without. I mean who doesn't love a great pencil skirt with some knee high boots? Personally, I don't think a girl can have enough pairs of boots.
3.) You can go back to wearing sweaters
I just love my collection of cardigans I think I have them in so many colors and patterns that I could wear a different one every day for a month. Sweaters are such a great staple to have in your closet. It's so much better than the struggle of trying to get cool in the summer. If you get cold during the fall, you just grab a cute sweater and your set.
4.) Pumpkin Everything
It use to be that fall was the "cool weather season" now it's clearly pumpkin season. Pumpkin latte's, pumpkin yogurt, pumpkin facials- you can literally get everything pumpkin from September to November 30th.
5.) Baking is actually fun again
I don't know about you but baking cookies in the summer time is just not as fun. As a person that loves to bake bread, cookies, cake and more- you can almost feel the excitement as it actually becomes cool enough for me to start baking up something yummy.
6.) Fall smells are in the air
From leaves burning in a bin after a long day of raking or the smell of wood on a fire- fall just smells awesome. Add in a little cinnamon and clove and you've got a scent that takes you back to your childhood and makes you just want to smile.
