Inspired by Royalty
May 7, 2015
For those that have been on Royal Baby Watch, the day has arrived and the world got it's first look at the little Princess that has blessed the Royal Family. As they left the hospital and gave us a little glimpse of her face, we have to say that Duchess Kate looked amazing and who would have ever known she had given birth so recently!
The Duchess wore an amazing lemon yellow and white Jenny Packham dress with nude pumps. It was a light flowing look and she just looked radiant. I am sure the colors and the look will start trending soon! Here are two dresses that we think speak to the look.
The dress pictured above is from John Lewis. It's just such a beautiful look for spring and the dress people can't seem to get enough of since the Duchess walked out of the hospital. The look as been flying off shelves so don't be surprised if it goes out of stock soon (no worries they have a great waiting list!)
This dress featuring cherry blossoms also is from John Lewis. It has a similar floral design and the colors are also similar. It's also the same color of white as seen in Duchess Kate's look. It's super feminine and really chic too!
If it's simple the shade of yellow that inspires you right now. Then think about accessories in soft shades of yellow. They've been flying off the shelves and it looks like this color is going to be a huge hit for the end of Spring. We love the handbags because you can pair them with simple dresses as well as jeans and a tee. The BALENCIAGA Papier A6 textured-leather shoulder bag could easily be worn with a casual outfit of jeans and a tee or a chic a-line dress full of spring florals. We also also this Segolene En Cuir Elaina Satchel from Nordstrom Rack is just perfection! We love the gold details and the rolled handles.
So now that you've seen a little inspiration in yellow-what do you think? Will we end spring with yellow and florals and the trend of the season all because of little Princess Charlotte and her beautiful mom?
